Mike Cox at Christchurch Food Festival:
A key date in my diary is always Christchurch Food Festival, this year boosted by the Local Festival organised by Christchurch BID and the Chamber of Commerce in the High Street complimenting the larger event on the Quomps. I dropped in on the Quomps Splash Park which as a Christchurch Town and BCP Councillor I am proud to have secured its future for Christchurch Visitors and Local Families alike, on such a warm day it was very busy indeed.
Pothecary Gin
It was great to meet Christchurch Pothecary Gin producer Martin Jennings and sample some of their award winning Gins, this was the first purchase as a gift for my future suffering wife, Fiona, who won't be seeing much of me for the next six weeks.
Ebb & Flow Atlantic
World's Toughest Row, chatting with Sally and Ed about to embark on the World's Toughest Row from Gomera to Antigua, Ebb & Flow Atlantic You can follow Sally's progress on Facebook.
Christchurch Priory Music & Arts Festival
Great chatting to some of the Choristers from Christchurch Priory about their sponsored cycle, they're aiming to raise funds for their tour of Barcelona and the chance to perform in the iconic Sagrada Familia cathedral designed by Gaudi.
B-Wonder
Great to bump into Stephen Foster MBA, of Beagle Aircraft, fellow Wanderer from Bolton to commiserate again about missing out on promotion but on a better note to hear more about their investment in engineering apprenticeships in Christchurch.
Our town has a rich heritage in Aerospace engineering dating back to before the war and the earliest days of flight at Hengistbury Head.
