Results of residents surveys in Christchurch

Mike Cox reported on the results of resident Surveys in the Christchurch Town area between October 2022 and March 2023.

In total 708 completed forms had been analysed. Voting intention results were similar to those recorded in 2019 – 41% pro Lib Dem – but we actually achieved 31%. However, current indications were that the Conservative vote was down some 25-30% but that the Green and Christchurch Independent vote might be up.

We are focussing our campaign efforts on Christchurch Town with letters and leaflets. It was reported that the Campaign Committee had recruited an intern to help with the campaign over 6 months. However, she does not drive so will be mainly employed on messaging and social media support. We had obtained agreement that she should also work on producing the Diversity Report that would be needed before the next Westminster Elections.
